A team of two steers a self-built tandem over an obstacle course - on the water! It's not just speed that counts, but also creativity and above all skill - because if you lose your balance, you get wet. With customised tandem bikes, eye-catching outfits and an impressive course, the event promises a thrilling mix of riding fun, creative craftsmanship and summer vibes!
Anyone can take part in the Red Bull Sattelfest: Whether you're a passionate hobby biker, a fair-weather cyclist or a creative adrenaline junkie: Red Bull Sattelfest is open to everyone and there are no limits to your imagination. But as with the tango, the same applies here: "It takes two to dance!" The fun challenge only takes place on a tandem and therefore as a duo. The jury not only assesses speed, extra points are also awarded for ingenuity and style. But beware, the course has some tricky obstacles in store. Shortly before the finish line, things get tight again - balance and skill are required before the bell can be rung at the finish line.
Interested teams of two first submit a sketch of their customised tandem. They can download free guidelines to help them with the design. The only requirement is that the tandem must have handlebars, two wheels and functioning brakes. Bicycles with suspension or battery-powered bikes are not permitted. The finished design must be submitted by 30 April 2025. The selected teams will be announced on 7 May.
Red Bull Sattelfest is open to everyone and therefore free to the public. Visitors can watch the spectacle from the quays around the media harbour. Meanwhile, the waterfront promenade invites you to stroll and marvel at the creative bike designs. (Source: Ring PR)
