This is the Bilker Bunker: a non-profit cultural institution that promotes social exchange through art. To this end, we have transformed the massive architecture of the historic building into a free space for creative expression, without disregarding its original intention. What was intended as a civilian shelter has become a protected space for experimental art and cultural formats.
Behind the meter-thick concrete walls, the “Bilker Bunker” opens up an innovative free space for creative expression and social exchange. The historic site is being preserved; its history is being told and rewritten. As a non-profit cultural institution, the Bilker Bunker is lively, interactive and open to all. In addition to art, culture and music, it offers space for leisure, fashion, sport and innovative concepts on a total of seven floors, while multi-spaces can also be rented: Whether music lessons, band rehearsals, personal training, yoga or simply for your own creative hobby - the Bilker Bunker has the rooms for it! The three multi-purpose rooms, which can be used in different ways, can be rented flexibly and by the hour. Booking is easy and can be done online. The three rooms: Music, Room 1: for drum lessons or band rehearsals (equipped with two drums), Music, Room 3: for individual and small group lessons, or solo rehearsals with violin, guitar or wind instrument, Sport, Room 6: for yoga, dance, personal training or small group workouts.
And: whether you have a bike, racing bike, e-bike or cargo bike - you can park your bike safely and securely in the Bilker Bunker for short or long periods. Located in the heart of Bilk, the parking spaces are available 24/7 and can be booked online. The bicylce garage is easily accessible via the rear courtyard using the elevator.
